(Effective Date July 20th 2020)
Bettermind is a service provided by Benamor Ltd.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age.
By using the Service, you represent that you are over 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years old, please do not use the Service, or provide any personal information to us
Bettermind takes your privacy seriously.
Bettermind (Bettermind," "we," "us" and "our") provides therapeutic support services through a Messaging App.
Bettermind does not ask for any Personal information. In general, you can visit and use this Application without telling us personal information about yourself.
However, anonymous data can also be classified as “personally identifiable information” if the data is used in connection with another type of data that can result in identifying a user. For example, you may believe that your profile in an app allows you anonymity if you don’t register your personal details. However, if the messaging (chat) includes your age, hometown, any part of your profile, or other interests, someone can compare the profile information to another list that has similar information and reasonably deduce who you are.
If we are really concerned about you and think that you are at risk or danger, we will talk to you about the need for somebody outside the Bettermind team to know what has happened or what is happening to you.
We would only do this if:
Your life is at risk because of something you are doing
You are at risk from somebody else
You are a risk to somebody else
In these cases, your counsellor will ask you for your contact details so that they can refer you to the appropriate services or get the help you need.
Your PII will be stored on the Bettermind system and is only accessible to the Bettermind Team and the organisation you are being referred to.
We will always:
Seek your consent to pass over your details, although we will act to protect you if you are at risk of harm, if you tell us something which means you could pose a risk to others or if you are unable to give consent
Let you know whom we are passing details to and why
Keep you informed of any actions we intend to take
Where possible, we will work with you to agree with every step taken
